L E A R N Genesis 3 : 1 (Temptation)

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?"

Satan used three ploys to bring Eve to her fall: 1) He questioned God’s Word. Satan did not deny that God had spoken. He simply questioned whether Eve had somehow misunderstood God’s command. 2) He questioned God’s love. Satan wanted to make Eve think that God was holding something back, that He didn’t love her as He claimed. 3) He substituted his own lie. Satan led Eve to believe that if she ate of the tree, she would become like God. And at that point Eve had a choice: she could take God at his word or believe Satan’s lie.
