Abraham is a forerunner of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ as part of the new covenant, made possible by Jesus’ death on the Cross. When a man is justified, God’s righteousness is placed in his spiritual bank account and he is forgiven of all sin. On the day we put our faith in God all our sins are instantaneously forgiven! Let that idea sink in. Have you done things you are ashamed of? Things you wished you had never done? If you have repented of that sin and placed your faith in Christ, then you are forgiven.
