K N O W Genesis 19 : 1 (Angels)
Although the Bible tells us that angels are “ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation” (Heb. 1:14), sometimes they take on human form. And whenever they do so in Scripture, they always appear as men. It may surprise you to learn that there is no instance in the Bible of an angel appearing as a woman. It’s odd, because usually we use the expression “angel” in a feminine sense. We will say, “She is as pretty as an angel,” but we never say, “He is as handsome as an angel.” Yet in the Bible, angels are always pictured as males, with no exceptions. Angels are constantly at work, often behind the scenes. They are very involved in the life of the believer, but rarely draw attention to themselves (Ps. 34:7). You may even have met one without knowing it (Heb. 13:2). For more about Angels, see 2 Kgs. 6:17.
